Grand Challenges Karnataka is a program in partnership with the Karnataka IT, BT, and ST Department (KBITS) to help innovators with funding, market access,  and pilot support.

The unique feature of the program is that the Karnataka Govt will engage different arms of the gocernemnt to help the inoovator deploy the solution in the real world. The problem areas identified for Karnataka are water sanitation and water quality monitoring, pest control in agriculture, healthcare, education, and women empowerment.


Up to five awardees will receive INR 10 Lakhs to build prototypes, and one of the will be chosenb to pilot their solution with additional support of INR 50 Lakhs. The concerned department (water / health as the case may be), will be invited to guide the innovator to get pilot the innovation, and get market access immediately.
